Having a separate gauge is better IMO as you can only see one moving item. Although I am not going to use an analog gauge, I dont think I would want the gauge inside of my tach. Just a personal opinion. k, put it anywhere you want. you could pot the LEDs into the dashboard if you want... maybe across the windsheield ventillation grills in the dash, so they point up, giving you an HUD type distplay.
